A Ghoul is an undead enemy in the Dragon Quest series, introduced in Dragon Quest II. It has a stronger attack and more HP than a walking corpse, and is able to call for back up if the player is not swift in dispatching it.

Description | They're pretty strong for stiffs, and although they don't have any special attacks, beware of them bellowing for backup. When they begin to rot, their breath and nails grow thick with toxins, but these dissipate as they deteriorate further. |
