Magical skirt
The Magical skirt is a recurring armor in the Dragon Quest franchise. Designed for women, it protects against magical attacks.
Appearances
Dragon Quest IV
Appearing only in the remakes, the magical skirt has a defence bonus of +45 and reduces all magical damage (save for zap) by 33.3%. It can only be worn by female characters.
Dragon Quest VI
It can be bought for 6,700 gold in Sorceria and prior to that is found in the Seabed Shrine. It has a defense bonus of +45, reduces non-zap spells by 20, and an Style bonus of +35.
It can also be found occasionally by fighting Wraithwands.
Dragon Quest VII
It can be bought for 8,700 gold and sold for 4,350 gold. It has a defense bonus of +45, reduces non-zap spells by 20, and an Style bonus of +35. Maribel and Aira can equip it.
Dragon Quest VIII
The magical skirt has a defence bonus of +55, and reduces non-zap spells damage by 33.3% . It can only be worn by Jessica.
Dragon Quest IX
Magical Skirts can be bought at Swinedimples for 4,600 gold and sold for 2,300 gold. They have defense bonuses of +13, Magical Mending and Magical Might bonuses of +9, and a 1 star rarity. All classes can equip it. Its in game description is: "A sorcerous skirt that can fight back magical attacks."
