Fizzle (originally StopSpell) is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in the original game, it is a spell attempts to seal the spells of the target/targets, preventing them from casting magic.

Learned at level 10. It costs 2 MP to use it against an enemy, and it stops them from casting spells. Some enemies will not be affected, such as scorpions, because they do not have any spells.

Fizzle is learned by Nevan at level 11. Other characters can learn it by advancing to rank 3 of the Priest vocation.
