Grubby bandage is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. It is a sturdy, yet filthy dressing taken from a mummy or other undead monster that is used as a crafting ingredient.

Grubby bandages can be dropped by Mummies, Mummy boys, and Blood mummies. Five bandages are required to complete Quest #030: Wrapper's Delight. They could only be purchased from the DQVC when it was still available during the Alchaid Campaign and Seven Days of Scary Sale for 70 gold each and sold for 35 gold. Grubby bandages are used in the following alchemy recipes:

Dragon Quest X[edit]

Grubby bandages are used as an ingredient for crafting weapons, armour, and furniture or in Alchemy to increase the rate of runaway magic. They can be dropped by various monsters, including Mummies, Phantom fencers, Pickeerers, and Walking corpses.

Grubby bandages can be dropped by Shadow ministers, Corpse corporals, Bad hares, and their vicious counterparts, as well as Hellbound horrors. They can be found in pots in the Cryptic Crypt, the Sultan's Palace, Puerto Valor, Phnom Nonh, and the lower levels of the Heliodor Dungeons. They can also be picked up from two sparkly spots at the Last Bastion during the second act. Grubby bandages can be sold for 52 gold coins each or used in the following recipes for the Fun-Size Forge:

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below[edit]

Grubby bandages can be dropped by Skeleton soldiers and Walking corpses or received from King Flaminio in exchange for three Mini medals on the Stonecloud. They can be sold for 20 gold coins each or used to create Bow ties and the quick recipe for the Heart pendant in the Alchemy Pot. Three grubby bandages are required to complete Quest #16: Greedy for Ingredients 1.

Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End[edit]

Grubby bandages are used as an ingredient for improving various accessories and can be sold for 20 gold coins each. They can be dropped by Blood mummies, Corpse corporals, Mummies, Mummy boys, and Walking corpses.
