Hippoblockomuses are sturdy, shield dual-wielding hippo monsters that first appeared in Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride and later appeared in the Battle Road games. They eventually disappeared from the series until their appearance in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World.
