Moon Shard
The Moon Shard is a key item in Dragon Quest II. It is located within the Tower of the Moon.
[edit] Usage
The Moon Shard is used to remove the shoals blocking the entrance to the Sea Cave. This is the only use for the shard, so it is safe to remove it from the inventory after opening up the cave.
