A mottle king slime is a type of slime that first appeared in Dragon Quest Monsters and Dragon Quest Monsters 2, and was exclusive to those games and their remakes until it reappeared in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World. Just as king slimes are amalgoomations of regular slimes, these rotund royals are the fusion of several mottle slimes. Mottle king slimes keep the signature spots sported by their smaller counterparts and add floppy dog-like ears and crowns in a style unique among slime monarchs.
