The Battle Records appears in several Dragon Quest games. It is a personal record of how well the player is doing.

Dragon Quest IV
The Battle Records can be viewed anytime for a summary of combat performance, including the total sum of gold pieces won through battle. Note that records are carried over through each chapter.

Dragon Quest VIII
King Trode manages the Battle Records menu and dispenses commentary on your progress throughout the game.

Dragon Quest IX
Stella keeps a record of your performance (in her words: "tabbing along to keep tags on you"). Like Trode, she provides commentary on your progress, and bestows certain accolades once conditions are met. The top screen covers basic records, while the bottom screen contains the Battle Records menu:

*Defeated Monsters List: Tracks every monster (including bosses) that you defeated in your journey, including item drops and a descriptive blurb.
*First Completion Record: After defeating the final boss and subsequently completing Quest 039, Stella keeps a copy of your Battle Records from completing the main storyline, and presents a suitable accolade summarizing your overall performance.
Terry (テリー Terii) the blue swordsman is a character in Dragon Quest VI who joins the hero's party later in the game, and is also the main character of Dragon Quest Monsters.

Background
start
Dragon Quest Monsters
When Terry was very young. he witnessed his older sister Milly be abducted by a creature called Warubou to the distant kingdom of GreatLog. A few moments later, a similar creature known as Watabou appeared and took Terry to the kingdom of GreatTree. Terry only wanted to find his sister, but the king of GreatTree, convinced him to become a monster tamer and win the Starry Night Tournament. The king stated that if Terry were to win the tournament, he would be granted any wish he desired. Terry set off to recruit monsters and win the Tournament. After Terry's monsters become powerful enough, he enters the tournament, fighting against the monsters of the champion from GreatLog, who happens to be his sister Milly. After winning the tournament, Terry and his sister are reunited.
Terry is a talented swordsman, traveling the world to find more powerful weapons and to prove his strength. He is first met by the hero in the town of Arkbolt setting out to defeat the hacksaurus terrorizing the cave north of town. Terry is able to reach the monster first and defeat it in battle. Later, he is met in the Everfrost Grotto where the Sword of Ramias is found. Terry decides to leave the sword for the hero though, since it is all rusty. Finally Terry must be defeated in battle before the Cloudsgate Citadel can reappear in the Phantom World. Once Dhuran, the boss imprisoning Cloudsgate Citadel is defeated, Terry will join the hero's party.

Terry initially goes on his quest to become more powerful, because he was unable to protect his older sister Milly while growing up in Felonia. She was taken away when they were younger which prompted Terry to pursue his quest. Somewhere along the way, he lost sight of his true goal, and doesn't even recognize Milly as a member of the hero's party. Once Terry is defeated, he and Milly are reunited and reconcile.

Stilleto is a non-player character in Dragon Quest Swords. Stilleto owns a shop in Avalonia Castletown where the player can play various targeting related games. He has a very campy style personality with a violent streak. This is illustrated by his large muscles and pink helmet.

Games
Stilleto's games are free to play and are the only multiplayer component of Dragon Quest Swords. Note however, that they make use of a single Wii remote between all players as the games are turn-based.

All prizes won can be found in other locations within the game except for the dartboard and the magic armor. While the dartboard is mostly a novelty item, the Magic armor can be beneficial in the early part of the game. However, the liquid metal armor can also be purchased early in the game by simply playing the first level over and over collecting mini medals. This generally limits the usefulness of the Magic armor given the difficulty of winning it.

Slime Crisis
This game consists of defeating a large number of slime enemies as quickly as possible. The overall completion time determines the rank attained.
Dart Attack
This game consists of catching an arrow in each of the different scoring sections of the shield. There are 4 scoring sections and each is given 3 arrows. When an arrow is successfully caught in the scoring section, the game moves to the next section. The highest score is attained by catching the first 4 arrows successfully.
In order to receive the orb from the man at the Shrine of Gondo, the heroes must first throw the Sword of Gaia into the volcano. This opens the path to the Gondo Cave. After passing through the cave, the heroes can arrive at the shrine.

Detail
Due to setup required to reach the shrine, and the powerful monsters in and around the Gondo Cave, the silver orb is designed to be the final orb received of the six orbs. Getting the silver orb is actually the longest subquest in Dragon Quest III aside from collecting all six orbs to get Ramia.
The Green Orb is a key item in Dragon Quest III. It is one of the Six Orbs required to hatch Ramia. It is held by a prisoner in the village of Tedanki.

Retrieval
The orb can only be retrieved at night when Tedanki's villagers are visible. It is held by a prisoner within a cell in the northern part of town. The prisoner is only accessible via the Final Key. During the day, the cell can be entered without the key and a note can be read near a corpse which hints that the prisoner has the orb.
The green orb reappears in Dragon Quest IX as a very exotic alchemy ingredient, used for some of the highest alchemy recipes. It is a rare drop from Psaro, Estark, and (at certain level ranges) Nokturnus legacy bosses.
Keys are a recurring feature of the Dragon Quest series. Keys appear in all main-series games and most spinoff games. From time to time over the course of a Dragon Quest game, the player will encounter locked doors that can only be opened with the correct key. Usually, one key can open all the associated doors of its type, though in some games they are one-use items and other keys must be found or purchased to use that type of key again. Typically the player will find higher- and higher-level keys throughout the course of the game, with higher-level keys working on all levels lower as well, making old keys obsolete. Eventually, the party will find a "Magic Key" or "Master Key" capable of opening all doors everywhere.

The Hero of Dragon Quest IX is a male or female Celestrian that fell to earth after a calamity struck their home, the Celestrian Observatory. Prior to this accident, the player's mission was to collect benevolessences (star auras in the Japanese version) in his/her assigned village, Angel Falls. Benevolessences are used to power the Yggdrasil tree that grows at the zenith of the Observatory. The Celestrians are trying to get into the Realms of the Almighty, and powering the World Tree is the only way. After giving the tree five benevolessences, which causes the tree to bear fyggs of incredible magical power, a disaster occurs which sends the fyggs and the hero scatters away. When the hero awakens in Angel Falls, they find that they've lost their wings and halo...

Appearance
A unique feature of Dragon Quest IX is that the player's character is completely customizable. The player chooses gender, height, shade of skin, hair style, hair color, eyes, eye color, and name. The player also designs their party, so it is possible to make all party members look the same.

The Hero, along with the other Heroes of the series, is playable in Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road II Legend. In that game, the Hero is depicted as the brown-haired boy seen in official illustrations.

Vocation and Skills
The Hero and Heroine always starts out as a Minstrel, being awarded the title after the inhabitants of Angel Falls confuse his/her Celestrian clothing for that of a wandering entertainer. Players do posses a few unique skills, however: they receive the "Egg On" skill after a scene at the Quester's Rest from Patty early in the game, and will learn the Zoom spell after returning to the Celestrian Observatory aboard the Starflight Express. Very soon after the returning from the Observatory back to the Protectorate, the hero shall be able to change his/her vocation/class after obtaining a fygg from the Tower of Trades.

Trivia
*One of the available hairstyles for the male hero is identical to Super Sayian 2 Gohan from Dragonball Z.
:*Another hairstyle for a male is identical to Uub from Dragonball Z, both alluding to series illustrator Akira Toriyama's famous manga.
*Another hairstyle for males is similar to Shu, the protagonist of Blue Dragon, another RPG series illustrated by Toriyama.
*One of the hairstyles for female heroes is identical to that of the female martial artist in Dragon Quest III
When the mayor asks him to go to the next town to sell goods in order to buy a crown for the village's upcoming ceremony the Hero gladly accepts and begins the first step of his journey. When he returns to the village the celebration begins. When Tania who is praying to the goddess becomes possessed the Hero is told by the spirit that he must venture out and defeat the demon king Murdaw and discover his true identity. Later on in the game it is discovered that the Hero is actually the prince of Somnia of the Real World.
The jailcat is a monster exclusive to the DS remake replacing the Baby Sabrecat. It's possible to recruit one shortly after obtaining the wagon in Fortuna; the jailcat is somewhat unique being one of the earliest sources of ice magic (which normally isn't available until much later), and can last until the third generation.
Trvia
The Baby Sabrecat was probably removed and replaced because it may be confusing to some players of why you are trying to help a Baby sabrecat while other Baby Sabrecats are attacking you.
