Dragon Quest V, was the fifth game in the Dragon Quest series of role-playing games published by Enix, and released for the SNES. Never released in North America due to the North American headquarters closing down. The game was remade for Sony Playstation in 2004 (for Japan only) and will be coming to the Nintendo DS on February 17, 2009 for North America.

Prologue
The game begins with a man named Papas, your father, who is pacing back and forth in his castle when Sancho comes down the stairs and informs him that his wife has just given birth. Papas then goes upstairs to see his newborn baby and then wants to decide a name for him. After some deliberation the name you entered at the beginning is decided upon and Papas's wife begins to cough. Papas asks what is wrong but it then cuts to a black screen and then goes to you the main character, now a child, who is on a boat with your father Papas.
Story
Characters
Bianca

Flora

Hero's Son

Hero's Daughter

Sancho

Borongo

Henry

Gameplay
Dragon Quest V is a classic turn based RPG like the games before it with even more new elements of gameplay. There is now a backround to the battle screen like in the original Dragon Quest. Although not prominent in the beginning of the game monster recruiting is a valuable addition to the game. Monsters not only join you but level up and learn new abilities as well. Also new is the fact that certain weapons can attack multiple enemies. Weapons like whips could attack groups of enemies while boomerangs could attack all monsters on screen. Unlike Dragon Quest IV the battle AI is optional throughout the entire game allowing players to once again fully control all their parties actions.

Another new element unique to this game is that it takes place over time allowing the main character to grow up throughout the game. In the beginning you are just a kid traveling with your father and when you reach a certain point in the game you get to play as the main character as an adult. Also unique to this game is that you can choose who you want to marry later on in the game presenting the player with a choice that will last throughout the rest of the game. Another new feature was the addition of a bonus dungeon that was only opened to the player after they beat the game.

Dragon Warrior VII, was the seventh game in the Dragon Quest series of role-playing games published by Enix. Originally released in Japan as Dragon Quest VII: Warriors of Eden, an English localization was released in North America during 2001 by Enix America, Inc.

Prologue
Story
The story begins with a nameless Hero (you name him before the game starts) who is the son of a great fisherman known as Borkano, living in the only island in the world called Estard. You awake to your mother, Mollie telling you to hurry to the ship out in the harbor before they leave you on the once-in-a-year fishing trip and hands you a Fish Sub to give to your father. Evantually, your not allowed to join the trip and instead Kiefer, the Prince of Estard unravel a mystery from a ruined temple that changed Estard forever.

Gameplay
The gameplay is similar to Dragon Quest VI in both combat and the unique class system. Battles are turn based, where the character or enemy with the highest Agility goes first. Strength and Attack determines how much damage you deal on your enemies, Defense/Guard determines how much damage you'll resist, and so on. Equiping weapons will increase your Strength while equiping armor increases your Defense/Guard. Weapons also have other abilities, like some can be used while in battle. Some weapons, like the Boomerang, can attack all enemies or once and whips can attack enemy groups. Magic and Skills are a very important part in the combat and class system. You can learn them by 'maturing
or 'leveling' in your selected class once you are able to do so.
