In ''[[Dragon Quest V]]'', you can recruit a [[jailcat]] to join your party. Introduced in the DS remake, it is one of the first monsters you can recruit after getting the [[wagon]]. This monster is notable for granting access to ice spells far earlier than the player would otherwise.
