Tentacles:

The Restless Armour (originally Rogue Knight, RogueNite / Rogue Nite in later translations due to display constraints) is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest III, it is an empty suit of armor that has taken on life.

Characteristics
Restless Armours are simple suits of armor armed with a sword and shield. There is nothing inside the armor, though the darkness inside their helmets makes this a questionable matter at times.

Typically a physical force, Restless Armours will strike with their swords and occasionally deliver critical blows, regularly depicted as a full-force swing after the Restless Armor's upper body winds back at the waist. While usually without magical abilities, they can often call Healslimes into the battle to undo any damage they took.

Restless Armours have been shown to speak with a degree of nobility to their words, as one might expect of a knight. Their speech also tends to be interrupted by sudden 'clank!'s, possibly from their visors falling down or maybe simply due to their being nothing but armor.
Restless Armours first appear and can only be found in the game's final area, the Flying Clawtress. They can use their shields to block frontal attacks, though being struck once from behind will cause them to drop it and lose their defensive prowess. A Restless Armour defeated outside of a tank battle will always drop a steel broadsword if a lucky bag isn't produced.
A riptide is a dangerous current that can carry unwary swimmers out into deep water; the choice of name is probably a hint at this monster's propensity for ripping people up with its claws.
Description
The Seasaur is a large aquatic monster based off of the mythological Leviathan. It is a palette swap of the Abyss diver. It is far stronger with stronger elemental breath attacks that can trouble even high level parties. Caution in respect of this monster is recommended.
Introduced in Dragon Quest III, it is stronger, purple furred variant of the bunicorn.

Characteristics
Spiked hares are identical in looks to bunicorns, horned rabbits, only having purple fur instead of gray. Sometimes, they are pink colored.

In terms of strength, spiked hares are often a threat encountered earlier on, usually when the lesser bunicorn is no longer troublesome. They are often capable of building up their strength to launch a powerful attack.

Orifiela (Lucia originally) is a temporary playable character in Dragon Quest IV. When the party finds her, she has somehow fallen out of the sky and landed in the branches of the World Tree. They help her come to and she points out the Zenithia Sword, then helps them to reach Zenithia itself. After leaving the party, she offers up Doran, her pet dragon, to travel with the party in her place. After she leaves the party, dialogue from a Zenithian NPC seems to imply that Orifiela is the Hero's mother.
|Class=Master of Monsters
|Race=Demon
|Age=Ageless
|}}
Psaro the Manslayer (originally Saro and Necrosaro in the NES localization, Dragon Warrior IV) is the central villain of Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen and a recurring monster in the series. He is a powerful demon with a passionate hatred for humanity.

During his rise to evil, Psaro attempted to kill the hero, sought the secret of evolution, and searched for the resting place of Estark, Ruler of Evil. Enraged by the death of Rosaly, Psaro became Psaro the Manslayer.

Appearance and Personality
Psaro at first appears fairly humanoid, though his red eyes, pointed ears, and vast powers would no sooner reveal him for what he really is. He has long silver hair, pale skin and wears a dark outfit with a single distinct shoulder pad, spiked and appearing to be made of bone, and a long fur cape. Upon using the Secret of Evolution he turns into a likeness of Estark and steadily morphs into a vicious horned demon with a second face on his torso as the player fights against him.

Psaro loathes humans, his Manslayer title likely derived from his stance on human presence. Despite this intense hatred, Psaro is remarkably kind to all other beings, notably monsters and especially the elf Rosaly. His romantic attachment to Rosaly is so strong that it drives him insane when he learns of her murder and can be freed from the Secret of Evolution's twisting power if she is revived and brought before him. In the Japanese remake of the DS and PSX version, he has a personality which is known to be tsundere if you use the party chat while he is in your party.

In Dragon Quest IV
He is mentioned in every chapter, and his actions drive much of the game's plot.

Chapter 1
Psaro is behind the kidnapping of the children of Strathbaile, and Ragnar fights Psaro's Shadow as a final boss to this chapter.

Chapter 2
Psaro is the top contender in the Tournament of Endor, having defeated five combatants in succession, when Alena and her party arrives. But after Alena defeats five fighters as well, he is nowhere to be found and Alena is declared the champion of the tournament. It is presumed that he went after the Golden Bracelet which Alena gave up to save Anya, the fake princess, in Vrenor.

Chapter 3
When Torneko arrives in Endor, the tournament and Psaro are mentioned by several townspeople.

Chapter 4
After the sisters Meena and Maya defeat Balzack, the Marquis de Leon appears stating that Psaro will not be happy about it, and then easily defeats the sisters.

Chapter 5
This chapter starts with Psaro leading a group of monsters into the hero's Hometown and killing everyone except the hero. After this he desires to resurrect Estark. When Estark's Palace is discovered by the miners in Mammon Mine, Psaro leads a group of monsters from the Diabolic Hall to the mine. He is successful in resurrecting the ruler of evil, but the hero and his party are able to defeat Estark. Next, scenes of Psaro are seen in the dream sequence in Strathbaile.

After the Secret of Evolution
Finally after using the secret of evolution upon himself, Psaro takes up residence in Nadiria and becomes the final boss Psaro the Manslayer in Dragon Warrior IV; in Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen, Psaro the Manslayer is only the boss of chapter 5, as a sixth chapter was added to the remake where Aamon is the final boss.

Chapter 6 (Remake Only)
The remake contains an additional sixth chapter, in which the Secret of Evolution is undone by Rose's tears and Psaro becomes a companion of the protagonist (a full PC whose actions in battle can be controlled).

As an Ally
Psaro's initial state is of course quite powerful; he starts at level 35 and all his stats are high, not to mention he can learn powerful spells such as Lightning Storm and Magic Burst (most of which originally premiered in later Dragon Quest installments). He can furthermore equip cursed equipment without penalty and without having his stats zeroed. He can also equip the Pandemonic items given by Chow Mein and Foo Yung.

In Battle
If the player chooses to pursue the bonus content and make Psaro an ally they will quickly find that he is more than a jack-of-all-trades, being adept at healing, support, and especially offensive abilities. If the time is taken to level him up he will swiftly become the most powerful ally in the game.
Other Appearances
In Monster Battle Road II Legend
Psaro appears as a playable character, as well as the boss for Legend Quest IV in Chapter 7: The demon Lord.

In Monster Battle Road Victory
After the hero of Monster Battle Road Victory wins over his/her rival Ryuuta, Psaro escapes from the game world to the real world to challenge the hero. After clearing the game, he will be at the harbor waiting for the hero to challenge him again.

Trivia
*There are two Psaros in the remake; the other one is a gender-confused naked man.
**In the PSX version, if you talk to the Psaro in your party, he will say "W-Why are you trying to talk to me?!"
*Psaro's appearance closely resembles Sephiroth from another popular Square Enix game series called Final Fantasy and have many things in common; such as having different forms as enemies and both being villains with tragedies, because of their similarities, there are some jokes in Japan which involves the two, such as Psaro and Sephiroth are actually secret twins, or sometimes calling either one of them as "Psaroth".
*Psaro's outfit is roughly based off the baroque prince's outfit (Hence the puffed sleeves and pants), and implies that he may be a prince or from royalty. Also, in Dragon Quest IX's Japanese version of the bestiary, it mentions him as a prince.
*In Monster Battle Road Victory, his first person in Japanese is changed from "私" (Watashi is a polite saying as a first person in Japanese) to "俺" (Ore, a common first person used by boys, usually it is considered as impolite.). Many fans disliked his new first person.
*In Monster Battle Road manga and Victory, there is a genderbent version of Psaro named Queen Psaro (クイーンピサロ）. Unlike Psaro, who is ruthless and cold, she has a person similar to Deborah. If you beat her, you can get a puff puff from her.
**Apparently it is unknown if she has any relation to Psaro in any way.

The Hero of Dragon Quest IV is an 18-year-old man or woman prophesied to defeat Psaro and save the world from the rising tide of Demons. As the only person able to wear the Zenithia Equipment, he or she is the only person in the world capable of doing this. To stop this from happening, Psaro and his minions attempt to eliminate the Hero before he or she can take up arms, but, fortunately, fail.

Uncommon in the Dragon Quest series, Dragon Quest IV allows the player to choose their character's gender as well as their name (similar to Dragon Quest III and Dragon Quest IX). The Hero's name is up to the player, a Dragon Quest staple, but the default names are Solo for the male and Sofia for the female.

Story
On one starry night, an angel fell from the sky castle of Zenithia. She subsequently fell in love with a human woodcutter and, together, they produced a half-human, half-Zenithian child - the Hero. However, because this union was forbidden, the father was struck down by a bolt of lightning. After the child's birth, the angel returned to Zenithia and the woodcutter's father became bitter and lived in solitude. The Hero was then brought up by two loving foster parents in a small village near the woodcutter's hut, to be protected by the denizens of the settlement until the hero came of age. He or she grows up alongside his or her childhood friend, Eliza and proceeds to train with a master swordsman regularly. However, the Hero's peaceful existence wasn't to last; eventually, Psaro's minions discovered the secretive village and assaulted it with the objective of assassinating the eighteen-year-old. They slaughtered all the villagers who stood in their way, including Eliza, who died while masquerading as the Hero with her transformation ability. Thinking that they had defeated the real Hero, the minions of Psaro left the ruins of the village. The Hero, after witnessing the savage ruins of his or her home, leaves on a journey to discover their true identity and save the world, embracing his or her destiny as the hero.

During his travels, the Hero encounters the seven other 'Chosen' and they form a group to stop Psaro's evil plan to make use of the Secret of Evolution to destroy the world. The Hero and his companions go on a quest to retrieve all the pieces of the Zenithia equipment which they then use to gain access to Zenithia Castle.

In Battle
The Hero has extremely high stats, especially in the HP and Strength areas. The Hero is the only character capable of using lightning spells such as Zap.

Tentacles: /* Loto Armor */

The Cave to Rhone is the largest dungeon in Dragon Quest II. It is also the penultimate dungeon in the game. It is located in the south central region of Torland and accessible only via teleportal.

Overview
The Cave to Rhone is known for being the most difficult dungeon in the game due to its length, the strong enemies within, and the existance of pitfalls and infinite loops.

The cave is only accessible via a travel gate in Beran requiring the Jailers Key. To open the cave, the Eye of Malroth must be used next to the entrance which is disguised as an impassable mountain tile.

Treasure
Floor B1 - Life Seal

Floor 3F - ~1375G, Lottery Ticket, Thunder Sword

Floor 5F - Evil Shield, ~550G, Mysterious Hat (Magic Hat), Loto Armor

Life Seal
Bottom right corner of floor B1.

Thunder Sword
Find your way to floor 5. Make your way all the way north, then east into the side room; go down the flight of stairs. There is a pitfall in the almost-bottom-leftmost corner of the (huge) room; find and fall in it. You'll land right next to the sword.

Erdrick's Armor
Much easier than locating the Thunder Sword, simply find the staircase in the bottom right area of Floor 3 and take the stairs right to the chest.

Enemies
*Attackbot
*Berserker
*Dark Eye
*Flame
*Gargoyle
*Green Dragon
*Hargon's Knight
*Hork
*Magic Vampirus
*Mega Knight
*Metal Babble
*Metal Hunter

Tentacles:

The Plateau of Rhone is a general region in south central Torland. It is the final region visited in Dragon Quest II.

Geography
The plateau is only accessible via the Cave to Rhone. The entire region is surrounded by impassable mountains. It is also the only region of Dragon Quest II to feature snow.

Overview
The plateau of Rhone is home to Hargon's Castle and the Shrine of Rhone. These 2 locations are the final places visited in Dragon Quest II. As a result, the plateau is home to the strongest outerworld monsters in Dragon Quest II.
