The jugular joker is a MFamilies that was introduced in Dragon Quest VI.

Characteristics
Jovial jesters that love to slash and swipe at weakened foes with their terrible sai knives. Dressed in crimson clobber like a traditional entertainer, these monsters are actually rather secretly sadistic and love to prey on helpless parties, even going as far as casting Kasnooze to knock all enemies out of action and using Oomph to outrageously up their attacks. They are notable for being one of the only two practitioners of Ban Dance among the MFamilies population.
Its name may also be a pun on the often mispronounced Italian curse word "fongool", or "vaffanculo".
Palais de Léon (English translation: Leon's Palace) is a castle in DQ4.

It is ruled by the Marquis de Léon, who allows Balzack to serve as a figurehead in place of him as he remains hidden.

Appearances
DQ4
Once Meena and Maya Mahabala are joined by Oojam, they're able to enter the castle, as Oojam is able to open the doors without a key. With the use of the Powder keg found in Mamon Mine, they find and defeat Balzack in DQ4 Chapter 4. Marquis de Léon, however, ruins the trio's attempt at revenge and engages them in an unwinnable battle. The party is imprisoned after being defeated, and they are able to escape via a tunnel in the dungeon. Guards spot the group and Oojam stays behind to allow the sisters to escape. If the player immediately returns upon exiting the castle, Oojam's corpse will be lying in the courtyard: in reality, Oojam was only near-death and managed to later escape to Vrenor thanks to a girl also escaping from the castle.

Later, Ragnar McRyan and his ally Healie arrive on word of the evil going on in the castle with Ragnar marching directly to the marguis' lair while hapless guards attempt to restrain him. Upon the Chosen Ones arrival to the castle, Healie informed The Hero 4 and their allies about what happened and tells them about needing the Magic Key to enter the castle after Oojam picked the previous locks. When entering the castle, the Party 4 witnesses Ragnar trouncing the guards at his sides and forces his way into the hidden chamber after briefly speaking to the group. Ragnar keeps the castle guards at bay while the Chosen Ones battle Marquis de Léon.
Remake changes
*Unlike the NES version, where the gold is lost for being defeated by Marquis de Léon in DQ4 Chapter 4, the remake allows the player to keep it.
*The old man in the jail was originally just a prisoner. The remakes establish him to be the original Marquis of Palais de Léon.
*Rather than dying, like in the NES version, Marquis de Léon reverts to human form and loses any memory he had of his evil actions.
A Lime slime is a recurring monster in the DQSeries, first appearing in Dragon Quest: Monster Parade. It is a chartreuse color variant of a Slime.

Characteristics
A Lime slime is somewhat identical to a normal Slime, with its only notable difference being its chartreuse coloration instead of the usual blue. It appeared since early in the series in the form of merchandise such as plush toys, but it was not properly named until Monster Parade.

Appearances
DQM2R
A Lime slime is a C-rank monster of the Slime family and could be acquired through a special promotion with McDonald's Japan.

DQTact
A Lime slime appears as an A-rank monster of the Slime family during the limited Slime Fest event alongside Slionheart on its banner. Starting with Version 2.0 of the game, it could be scouted from any limited banner, as well. A lime slime can participate in the King bubble slime's Battle Road as a party member.

The Gran Dragon is a MFamilies that first appeared in the Game Boy Color remake of DQ3. It serves as a superboss, which can be battled at the Ice Cave after collecting the first 155 Monsters Medals in Bronze and Silver.

It remained exclusive to the GBC port of the game until returning to the series with DQMJ3.

Appearances
DQ3
The Gran Dragon can be found in the deepest level of the GBC Exclusive bonus dungeon, the Ice Cave. In order to make it to the Gran Dragon, The Hero 3 must have the first 155 Bronze Monster Medals, and the first 155 Silver Monster Medals.

The Gran Dragon attacks exactly as Xenlon does. Defeating it for the first time merits it rewarding The Hero 3 with the Rubiss sword. Defeating it in under 18 turns will result in it awarding The Hero 3 with its own Monster Medals. Talking to the Gran Dragon after obtaining all Gold Monster Medals results in it congratulating the player for their hard work, then falling asleep.
