Mariella was one of the unnamed bunny girls who appear next to the [[King of Midenhall]] in the illusion created by Hargon in his [[Hall of Hargon|citadel]], which [[Yuji Horii]] revealed in a 2025 interview<ref>一敵方には、ミリエラという新キャラも登場しますね。
早坂: ミリエラは新キャラではなく、 実はSFC版からいるんですよ。ハーゴンの神殿に初めて到着したとき、王様の横にいるバニーちゃんです。彼女も、そこから深掘りして生まれました。

Mariella has been written into a proper character for the HD remake, and is now Hargon's fanatically devoted servant. Her loyalty does not extend to her fellow high-ranking fiends, whom she openly despises, nor to the subordinates she uses as disposable tools. The animosity is mutual in both cases, with [[Belial]] going so far as to instructing the Scions of Erdrick on how to throw Mariella's [[Den of Inequity|deepsea base]] into chaos and her peons abandoning her when they assume they are under attack.
