I'm afraid it's nothing that organized, because I'm still pretty dopey when it comes to using/navigating a wiki in that capacity. I simply started at the back of the file list and move forward, changing whatever it is I can along the way, at least in terms of monster images.

:When I first started renaming them, I settled on trying to keep the names to one spot with spaces only existing between the game and system. I was completely unaware of any sort of wording that could be used for simultaneous changing in accordance with article names, and can't quite figure out how it might work even now. (although I think I do grasp it now, but if it'd go off the name of the page then wouldn't it also capitalize the first letter of the name? That'd be inconsistent with in-game capitalization for the most part, though my current method probably clashes with that as well since I capitalize the first letter of the name in the file for reasons I don't quite remember now. ::Kinda agreeing with Ragnar, here, multiple images for at least the recent games isn't a big deal, what bothers me is when there are two images for the SAME title and they try to go for the same thing (usually one or the other being superior quality, if I spot and rename the worse version first I usually save the better one and upload it as a new version to the bad one to avoid any messes with deleting a page and then making a new one with the same name as the old). That thing with the dracky file was probably a fluke, since I wasn't considering the file that existed before the information import that included the backdrop used in the original :P Also agreein' with Ragnar in regards to simple solutions, and the sprites CAN be hard to tell apart. This can especially be the case with the sprites from DQM and DQM2, notably ones that hardly underwent change since the biggest difference between those games is that 'white' is more of a beige color in DQM, which can be difficult to tell from the small sprite. Best not to sweat these things, yo, and to be honest I'll probably be avoiding the wiki for a bit to not get spoiled too much to Joker 2. Yeah, the site can be slow sometimes.  We are still on a shared host (cheap).  I've found that there are good days and bad days.  It all depends on how busy the sites are that are sharing our server. :Vzing, thanks for your concern about possible vandalism.  However, I feel that right now things should be pretty safe.  In order to become autoconfirmed, you must make 50 edits and be registered for 10 days.  I think this makes it very unlikely that deletion vandalism would happen. Vzing, you seem to have a knack for finding bugs.  ;)  Basically, the URL rewriting which makes the URLs simple looking cannot handle '&'.  That is why the category fails to load/delete/etc.  There are solutions and I am looking into them.  I will let you know when I get it fixed.  Thanks for finding it!

Also, I'm working on the recent spam problem.  I already had editing disabled until the user confirms their email, so I'm not sure much will help. Vzing, I don't think we should be too picky about image name schemes.  The most important thing is that the name gives all the details related to the image, i.e. the game and the version.  File:Grandmasternimzo DQV PS2.png or File:Nimzo DQV PS2.png both seem fine to me.  Those names are detailed enough that you know what the image is without having to look at it.

I don't think there is anything that we can do to convert them.  Even if there was such a tool, the conversion would likely be non-optimal, meaning then we would have a bunch of not so good looking images to clean up. I agree we have a lot of stubs, but last I checked we had about 1000 stubs of our 2600 or so articles.  That's only 38%, and SEIWA requires less than 40%.  However, I think the Dragon Quest series in general is somewhat of an exception.  I mean, this is a HUGE game series compared to Kingdom Hearts or Chrono Trigger.  Aside from Final Fantasy, it is the largest SE series period. Suppressing redirect creation when moving files was something that occurred to me, but I think then it felt safer to make the redirects so the images would still work on the pages until the pages themselves could get the updated names. As for the item sprites, I had no real intention of doing those since my main objective at the beginning was just getting the monster sprites done since there are many, many in-game images of monsters. As for an algorithm for the item sprite file names, if I'm interpreting it correctly, it could probably be something similar to what's in use for monsters (Name_Game_Console/Version). This might require some group consulting, though, so maybe run it and other ideas by the other users that frequent here. Form a consensus and such.

If you would like to start using a different file name formatting, that is fine. Here are my thoughts.  I don't think using 'S' to designate a sprite is necessary.  Specifying the game name and version should be enough.  Any artwork for a specific game/version will likely have a more descriptive name "DQIII NES Slime art" for example.  I also don't think that all of the media file name have to follow a specific pattern at all.  Of course, it makes sense for them to be similar, but as long as the important pieces are there (game name, version, monster name, etc) then we should be able to search on those keywords to find the media. When you say "the Project", if you're talking about how so much of the wiki has barren, blank pages with the scantest of information, I think I know what you mean. Let me be honest with you. My greatest contributions to ''any'' wiki is usually in the art department, as I'm a huge art collector. However, I am also first and foremost, a ''game fan''. If I was not, all the art would be meaningless. Having said that, I am fully able to spot things amiss (incorrect enemy data, etc.) from my 20-plus years of gaming, and will correct things as I come across them. First of all, you need to start being more polite in your messages on talk pages.  Demanding answers from anyone is rude and not the way to get others to respond to you.  Say 'please' and 'thanks'.  Don't be so blunt with what you want.  Don't tell anyone else what they should or shouldn't do.  You have no authority to do that.  

When will you delete those images?
: Answer: When I feel like it.  There is nothing stopping you from manually deleting them or from editing in one of the other millions of places.  I am aware of your request and will delete them at some point.

Why did you let those bots in our site?
: Answer: I did not "let" them in.  Spammers are not uncommon on mediawiki wikis.  It is impossible to keep out every instance of a spammer.  In this case, all 4 users were using legit gmail email addresses which had been confirmed.  There is no way to distinguish between these and other valid users.  Therefore, we will just have to delete the spam and block them.  Second, it is not "our" site.  It is my and Zenithian's site.  We pay the bills and do the administration.

Why is Dragon Quest Wiki talking a LONG LONG LONG LONG time to load again? (especially the mobile version)
: Answer: We are on cheap shared webhosting.  This costs about $70 a year.  As a result sometimes other sites we are sharing a server with hog the bandwidth and make our site slow.  We can do nothing to control when this happens.  I'm sure it will eventually get better again, but unless we upgrade to better hosting someday, it will continue to happen.
