The townsfolk are aware that the terror is indeed "their [[Amos]]", and forbid the player from revealing the truth to the man: if he learns of nightly transformations, [[Amos]] will leave [[Scrimsley]] and cannot be recruited into the {{Party 6}}.

	The monster is revealed to be [[Amos]], the town Hero who developed this peculiar condition after being bitten on the backside by a monster when saving a lost child. The townsfolk are aware that the terror is indeed "their Amos", and forbid the player from revealing the truth to the man: if he learns of nightly transformations, Amos will leave Scrimsley and cannot be recruited into the party.		Instead, it is suggested that the player retrieve the [[Seeds of reason]] in [[Hazy Heights]] in the hopes that they will cure [[Amos]].
