It is a simple shrine that houses three [[List of shrines and teleportals in Dragon Quest II|teleportals]] that lead to the [[Shrine North of Beran]], the [[Shrine North of Rippleport]], &amp; the [[Sanctum]]. Humorously the sigil is not kept in the shrine at all, it is found by searching the grass tile in the upper right outside of the building.<br /> <br /> ==={{DQ2HD}}===<br /> The shrine now resembles an enormous fire kiln hewn from stone, with a circular entrance that gives the impression of walk into an inferno. There is an old [[Mage]] standing near the entrance explains that the legend of the shrine is that its fires were lit so that a wounded adventurer could take respite from the monsters that pursued him. The old man also states that these flames have never once gone out after many long years, not even during tropical storms, and attests their everlasting nature is due to the hot-bloodedness of that traveller&#039;s spirit.<br /> <br /> The three teleportals within have been replaced with ones connected to [[Gwaelin&#039;s Gate]], [[Dirkandor]], &amp; the [[Shrine West of Moonbrooke]]; the teleportal connected to Gwaelin&#039;s Gate requires no special key to use, and players may pay the shrine a visit very early into the adventure. Leaving the safety of the shrine is not advised though, as the player won&#039;t stand a chance against the monsters lurking in the jungle surrounding the building.<br /> <br /> The oddity of the sigil being hidden outside the shrine in past versions of the game has given way to it being set on an altar on the hill behind the shrine, but the guardsmen from [[Burrowell]] will not permit anyone access to the sacred site unless presented with a [[letter from the chief]] of the underground town first. The altar looks to be totally natural rather than man-made, being a series of sharp rock lines emerging from the hill that converge into a flat platform for the sigil and are encircled by stone braziers.
