			Atlas's character has been significantly fleshed out in the HD remake, with his personality being taken from how he is depicted in ''Dragon Quest Builders 2''. Like the other Deities of Destruction Atlas was the demonic overlord of a different dimension who was summoned into [[Alefgard]] by Hargon when the profane priest sacrificed the lives of wicked humans. Atlas is totally bound to the will of his summoner and cannot ever act against him, yet the big brute seemingly has no real issue with being pressed into Hargon's service so long as it means trampling the weak and helpless.

			Though still comparatively simple when set beside Belial and Pazuzu, Atlas is nevertheless trusted with the important mission of gathering intel regarding the 5 sigils\|five legendary sigils]]. To this end he dispatches [[Abra]], [[Cadabra]], & the [[Nekomancer]] to scout Alefgard for leads, and instructs [[Togrus Immensus]] to raid the [[Shrine of Rain]] to get information from the source. He is then fought for a final time in the Hall of Hargon, and perishes in denial of being finished off by puny humans.
