Localism is apparently very strong in Kievs, as the [[inn]] will refuse to let the party pay for their lodgings if Mara and Nara are with it.

[[Balzack]], if not a native of Kievs, at least lived there for a time while studying under the twins' father. The same can be said of [[Orin]].
