The strangler fish (originally Piranian; Angleron in later translations) is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest IV, it is a monstrous angler fish.
Characteristics
Deep sea dwelling scary eyed fish that dive and dash at and threaten any adventurers that intrude on their territory. Their dark brown metallic scales and sharp teeth shine even in the dark depths of the ocean, giving enemies and idea of when they're about the charge full force into them with their terrible teeth. Along side their physical strength they can also blast enemies with Bang, hitting an entire party in a single spell.
