The Admirer is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. It can take on the form of anyone in the party, complete with their copied stats and abilities. Its name is a pun based on the words "admire" and "mire".
Characteristics
Gloopy green slimey monsters that slide into battle and have the uncanny agility to perfectly replicate the strength, form and fighting skills of adventurers. Even before they transform they're solid and sturdy enough to be able to defend and prevent deadly damage. The admirer is a blob-like monster. Similar in constitution to the Bubble slime, but in its original appearance the admirer was red in color. In all subsequent appearances, the color was changed to a shade of mossy green.
