The ''' | The '''muddy hand''' is a recurring {{MFamilies}} in the {{DQSeries}}.
Introduced in {{ | Introduced in {{Dragon Quest II}}, it was originally a {{material}} monster, but has been re-classified as a member of the {{undead}} family in many installments in both the main series and its spinoffs.
== | ==Characteristics==
Muddy hands are animated human hands made of mud. They have the annoying ability of summoning other muddy hands or even other monsters, prolonging the length of a battle. However, this can be a secret blessing as the player gains the experience of defeating the extra monsters. Furthermore, the dirt clods are never totally immune to instant death so patient players can continuously wipe out whole groups if they are lucky.

The muddy hand is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Introduced in Dragon Quest II, it was originally a Material monster, but has been re-classified as a member of the Undead family in many installments in both the main series and its spinoffs.
Characteristics[edit]
Muddy hands are animated human hands made of mud. They have the annoying ability of summoning other muddy hands or even other monsters, prolonging the length of a battle. However, this can be a secret blessing as the player gains the experience of defeating the extra monsters. Furthermore, the dirt clods are never totally immune to instant death so patient players can continuously wipe out whole groups if they are lucky.
Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line[edit]
Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation[edit]
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit]
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit]
- Because they tend to summon more of their kind along with the occasional golem, they are a popular method for leveling up and accumulating gold before players have reliable access to liquid metal slimes in the final floor of the Gotha Pass
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit]
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]
