Carver appears as one of the playable characters in the game. He uses Gauntlets as his weapon of choice and speaks with an Irish accent.
Carver appears in Dragon Quest Heroes II as the third set of otherworldly characters the party encounters, alongside Terry. The Dynamic Duo is first encountered in the Wildwood area after the heroes knock out the leader of the jungle which prompts him to send out a cry for help before collapsing. Mistaking the interpret heroes as the mysterious kidnappers that have been stealing their monster friends, the duo engage in battle with the protagonists until Carver calls off the fight upon realizing they are not the targets. Knowing they can't stay within the woods forever, and that having allies familiar with the terrain would help them uncover the mystery of the missing monsters, the two join the party on their quest. In this title, Carver speaks with an Irish accent.

In game Carver is given the title “Ten Tons of Trouble” with his weapon of choice being the Gauntlets. In contrast to the other martial artist’s fast and combo heavy fighting style, Carver plays more akin Yangus from the previous title, emphasizing on slow yet powerful charged attacks and the ability to combo any of his moves together. Additionally, charging Carver’s attacks not only greatly increases their range, but also heightens the chance of landing critical hits. His Coup de Grâce is a stronger variation of Boulder Toss.

This discrepancy can be attributed to the two games being localized by Plus-Alpha and 8-4 ltd, respectively.
