The metal chimaera is a {{MFamilies}}, originally exclusive to the remakes of {{DQ3}}, but later also included in the {{DQ2HD}}. | |||
Though it is quick and has high defensive stats, it doesn't quite live up to the [[Metal slime family|metal moniker]]. It doesn't run away, can be hit for double-digit or triple-digit damage, and is vulnerable to some magic. With only 150-220 HP, a spell like [[Kazap]] with a [[Duplic Hat]] will make short work of it, even with its 75% Lightning resistance. The amount of experience it gives at the stage of the game where it is encountered is not particularly high, relatively speaking, especially when [[liquid metal slime]]s are encountered much sooner and give more experience. | |||
