*The Japanese script for {{Dragon Quest IX}} gave the Princess the given name of Pudding (プリン) instead of picking one of the randomly selected names available for her in {{Dragon Quest II}}. This has stuck with the character ever since for her cameo appearances and become her official name as of the 2025 HD2D remake of ''Dragon Quest II''. This food-themed naming scheme is shared between three of the four Scions of Erdrick, with her cousins being named Macaron (マカロン) and Cookie (クッキー) respectively.
