Parthenia is a kingdom in Dragon Quest IV.
The | It is the only place where a special kind of Medicinal herb, the Feverfew root, is grown. The castle town is dedicated to farming this herb, with even the ruler, Emperor Claudius helping out.
The last remaining seed to restore the herbs were placed in a nearby pantry years ago by the previous Emperor Crescentius, but are guarded by MFamiliess, to the dismay of the inhabitants.

The Party 4 visits Parthenia in DQ4 Chapter 5, where they find that a drought has all but eliminated Feverfew from the area, though there are still some seeds stored in the Imperial Pantry of Parthenia. The Party 4 is confronted by Borya, who asks for assistance in a sensative matter: his companion, Kiryl, has taken ill and needs the herb to cure his disease, and the Tsarevna they have been tasked with keeping an eye on has run off to retrieve them. Borya then joins the team and leads them to the pantry, where they see that Alena has gathered a small Party 4 of adventurers to seek out the Feverfew, but the group is unable to find the secret chamber at the bottom of the cave and is forced to return empty-handed. Luckily, the Hero 4 and his Party 4 successfully locate the herb and give to Kiryl, healing him instantly.
