	Like the name suggests the metal slime is a [[slime]] that is metal. Originating in the first [[Dragon Warrior]] these slimes give you lots of experience points when defeated. They have extremely high defense and evasion but only have 4 HP and are weak in offense as they are limited to normal attacks and the low level blaze spell.
