The Salamarauder is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest IX. It is a stronger, pale variant of the Wooper trooper that has taken up piracy.

Like wooper troopers, salamarauders are small amphibian warriors based off the axolotl, their paler complexion making them more reminiscent of the real-life animal.
