Bronson is a minor character and boss in both Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation and Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past.

Characteristics[edit]

Bronson is a low-ranking soldier in the Arkbolt militia. Due to the events of Wayfarer's Pass, the King of Arkbolt has been searching for a powerful warrior to eliminate the squatting monster and open up the path for safe travel again.

As such, Bronson is the first of the kingdom's finest that the Hero must defeat in order to get a shot at the posted reward. The man has trounced his fair share of would-be brawlers, and isn't impressed with the party at first glance. His appearance in battle is identical to the Harmour series of enemies, wearing a silver suit of plate armor with a tall pair of horns on the helmet and wielding a huge poleaxe and a shield bearing a skull in its center.

A character by the same name appears at the Allblades Arena in VII. He is the second of the would-be champions trying to gain his freedom from the monsters controlling the arena, fighting alongside three Serial quillers. In the Nintendo 3DS version, his armor is dark blue and he wields an Iron shield in his left hand.

Strategy[edit]

It is recommended to take out his Serial quiller helpers first as they can become a nuisance with their Dazzleflash. Since Bronson has high Attack power, Buff should be cast to protect your party members, especially Maribel. It is possible to put him to Sleep, as well.
