The liquid metal sword has an attack bonus of +130 and cannot be sold. It can be equipped by the Hero, Ragnar, Kiryl, Torneko, Meena, and Psaro. It can be found in Cascade Cave, but only after retrieving the Karstaway stone in Dunplundrin. In the NES version, it is the most powerful weapon in the game.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]
The liquid metal sword has an attack bonus of +118 and can be sold for 5,000 gold coins. It can be equipped by the Hero, Angelo, and Jessica if she has enough skill points in her Knives skill to equip swords, as well as Red in the 3DS version. It's guaranteed to inflict 1-2 damage on metal monsters and can mix with the Dragovian sword to make the Dragovian king sword in the Alchemy Pot. It can also be reverted into the Rusty old sword by combining it with a Mystifying mixture and Cowpat.
