Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line[edit]
The Princess of Moonbrooke learns Kasap at Level 10. In the NES version it reduces the Defence of all enemies by 12.5%, and in all other versions it reduces a group of enemies' defence by 50%. It costs 2 MP in all versions.
The enemies Brainy badboon, Chasmonaut, Hargonaut, Frostburn, Drackmage, Goregon, Madusa, Whackolyte, Wrecktor, Tyrannodactyl, and Belial can use this spell against the party.
Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation[edit]
Kasap is learned at level 18 by both a Priest and Sage, and decreases defence by 50% for 4 MP.
The enemies Abracadabrer, Skeleton swordsman, Goodybag, Weaken beakon, Bullmustiff, Boss troll, Lethal armour, IronNite, Robbin' huddle, and Merman can use this spell against the party.
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit]
Kasap is learned by Borya at level 21, and is already known by the 9th Chosen One upon joining. Orifiela also knows the spell. It has the same properties as in the previous game, but will only last 7~10 turns in the remakes instead of the entire battle.
The enemies Crested viper, Skeleton swordsman, Pocus poppet, Rhinoceraxe, Strangler fish, Pruslas, and Decayurion can use this spell against the party.
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit]
Kasap has the same properties as III in all versions.

It has a base accuracy of 75% and will become 100% effective against non-resistant monsters at 799 Magical Might.

Kasap reduces the defence of the enemy party by 40% and cannot be cast twice to increase the effect. The spell is learned through the Enfeebler, Evil Genius, Fluffy, Malroth, Murdaw, Nimzo, Sage, Scruffy, and Zam Virtuoso talents.
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below[edit]
Kasap is an enemy-only spell that can be cast by Drackmages and Boss trolls. It creates a magic circle on the ground that decreases the Defence of any character caught within it. The effect lasts for about 20 seconds. Characters affected by Kasap will have a blue glow surrounding their body. If a Drackmage is summoned with a monster medal, it will cast Kasap on any nearby enemies, as well.

It costs 14 MP to cast, has a range of three squares away from the caster, and lowers the DEF of all enemies in a 3x3 square. It can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll.
