The Iron claw is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest series, being one of the most commonly appearing set of talons.

It is a low-to-mid-grade weapon and is often one of the first weapons that martial artists can use exclusively, upgrading them from fighting barehanded or relying on simple clubs. In some games, a claw is held in each hand, allowing the user to attack twice in a row with them.

The Iron claw has an Attack bonus of +25 and can only be equipped by Martial Artists. It can be purchased at Khoryv for 870 gold coins.

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit]

The Iron claw has an Attack bonus of +38 and can only be wielded by Alena and the 9th Chosen One. It can be purchased for 1,500 gold coins in Endor and sold for 1,125 gold coins.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit]

The Iron claw has an Attack bonus of +30. It can only be wielded by Debora Briscoletti, Saber, and the Jailcat. It can be purchased for 550 gold coins. It is equipped by Saber when he rejoins the party as an adult.
