The '''Dark skeleton''' is a recurring monster in the {{DQSeries}}, first appearing in the original ''[[Dragon Quest]]''. It is a pitch-black variant of the regular [[Skeleton]]. Much like [[Shade]]s and [[Silhouette]]s, they are animated shadows that attack adventurers; the difference being that the dark skeleton has retained the solid mass of its physical self.
