Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince
Estark Venjah was created alongside its siblings Estark Dumah and Estark Izma in the depths of the Cradle of Corruption aeons before the game's events. The trio were birthed by the mad Zenithian known as Azabel, who used the forbidden methods described in the Secret of Creation to fulfill her goal of destroying the entire world in a holocaust of flames so that her idealized vision of the planet could be formed from the ashes. Upon awakening, the trio obeyed their mother's instructions and began to lay waste to all around them and brought ruin to half the world in a matter of mere days.
Salvation would come in the form of the Zenith Dragon, who slew the Unholy Trinity with the aid of a host of Zenithian soldiers. The beasts would be slain and Azabel sealed away in the depths of the whispwoods as punishment for committing the ultimate sin of global genocide. Knowing that the trio of unnatural beings would revive if left alone, the heavenly serpent separated their souls from their bodies: sealing their essence away in the Cradle of Corruption and setting Whitewhorl the Watcher to prevent their escape, while imprisoning their material forms a profane temple. Venjah would seemingly escape half of this damnation, as its body is never found in the temple unlike the other two. Instead, its corpse would be found in the whispwoods near Azabel's imprisonment, not unlike a young child seeking its mother when frightened.
Regardless of its attempted flight, Venjah's soul was taken from its body and would remain in the Cradle of Corruption for untold years until Psaro slew Whitewohrl at the behest of the Affinity of the Trinity. These nihilistic cultists seek the annihilation of the physical world and recite prayers to the Unholy Trinity in the hopes that their chants will accelerate their revival, but these efforts proved futile under the eye of Whitewhorl. Venjah would take the longest time to revive as its body was so distant from its soul, and would serve as one of the three bonus bosses in the post-game.
Estark Venjah has approximately 7,500 HP, will act 1~3 times per turn, and Ultra Crafty Woosher. Its attacks include Blightsplitter, Brake Wind, Disruptive Wave, Kaswooshle, Parallax, Power Surge, and Skysplitter.
