Slarin (スラリン, Surarin) may refer to several of the following characters in the Dragon Quest series, usually the first Slime that can be recruited into the party.
- Slime (Recruit): A recruitable Slime from Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride. Slarin is the first default name it can have and has been used in various adaptations, including the Dragon Quest V CD Theater and Dragon Quest: Your Story. In English versions of the game, the name Gootrude has been used as its default name and in Your Story, as well.
- Goober: In the Super Famicom version of Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation, Slarin is the first default name of the recruitable Slime. However, starting with remake versions, Rookie became its default name in Japanese.
- Smiles: In the Japanese version of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, Slarin is the name of the first Slime that can join the party.
- Rocket: The main character of the Slime MoriMori spinoff games and its manga series of the same name by Osamu Kaneko.
