The Rashaverak is an intermediate monster vocation available in Dragon Quest VII.

Description[edit]

The Rashaverak is a large, purple fire-breathing dragon that was originally one of the four monsters that guarded Castle Nadiria in Dragon Quest IV. It learns several breath attacks, and gives small boosts to physical stats but a drop to Agility and MP. At rank 8, the vocation grants a weak resistance to ice and wind damage and a strong resistance to fire breath and status ailments aside from Sap and Drain Magic. It gives no resistance to Frizz and Sizz. Mastering the vocation is necessary in order to become a Galumph or an Ersatz Estark.

Requirements[edit]

The vocation requires that a character master the Draguar and Serial Quiller vocations. A Rashaverak heart can also be obtained as a prize from the Lucky Panel game at the Casino in Buccanham or from the Grand Slum evolution of the Immigrant Town in the original PS1 version or at the Haven in the 3DS version. Rashaveraks have a small chance to drop their hearts and can be faced in the Wilted Heart region in the present after the Demon King's resurrection. In the Nintendo 3DS version, it is also possible to acquire a Rashaverak heart by creating a custom Traveller's Tablet with a Rashaverak as the boss.
