Frizz Cracker is a spell that combines Fire and Ice to create a violent disturbance in the world's natural equilibrium, dealing non-elemental damage to one enemy in every appearance. It originally debuted in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai.

Medroa is the greatest technique of the archmage Matoriv. Casting the energy-exciting Kafrizz in one hand and the energy-stilling Kacrackle in the other, the user then brings their hands together to create a single-shot bow of light with monstrous attack power.

Matoriv originally developed Medroa after the hero Avan and the dark lord Hadlar were trapped together in a spell of temporal stasis which could not be lifted for one without also freeing the other; with the arrow of light's ludicrous penetrative abilities, Matoriv would instead be able to kill Hadlar while he was frozen, then free Avan later. However, due to a mix of concerns about the untested nature of the spell and his own advanced age, this strategy would never see use. Later Matoriv would pass the technique down to Popp as a countermeasure to opponents with bodies of nigh-indestructible orichalcum.
Medroa is portrayed as arguably the most powerful offensive technique in the entire series, capable of disintegrating entire mountains and bypassing any form of defence other than reflection or cancelling it out with another casting of Medroa. From his reactions to the spell it is strongly implied that even Demon King Vearn, who has withstood attacks supposedly powerful enough to destroy a continent, would be utterly vaporised by a single casting of Medroa if it landed a direct hit.

Frizz Cracker was retroactively added to the game in the version 6.3 update as an optional Coup de Grâce for the Mage vocation. It technically isn't classified as a spell due to it's nature as a C.D.G. so it overrides the effects of Bounce, but it still utilizes the magical might stat. The casting time is a lengthy 140 seconds and the range is 15 meters, with the energy bullet creating a 30 meter radius once it makes contact with the enemy and bursts. The non-elemental damage output is simply incredible, being calculated as (magical might - 1,000) x 6 + 8,950~9,050.

Frizz Cracker entered the mainline titles as a pep power, available once the Hero 11 and Veronica 11 learn to cast Kafrizz and Kacrack respectively. It deals up to 704~824 damage once the sum of the pair's magical might reaches 900.

Known as Blitzer in the Enix America, Inc. localization, the spell is combination ability performed when two monsters cast Blazemost and Blizzard and deals 700~900 damage to one foe.

Frizz Cracker costs 80 MP and deals 280-514 damage to a single enemy. It can be learned from Great godbird for 81 points or from Leonyx for 100 points.
