Torneko appears in Dragon Quest Heroes II as the first of the otherworldly characters that is recruited. He is brought to the world of Accordia while he is in search for legendary weapons, and is encountered by the party during their traversal to the Accordian Kingdom being chased down by a gang of [[Hood|Hoods]]. Realizing he is stranded in another world with no idea of how to return, the party offers Torneko to travel alongside them, thinking he will find the legendary weapon he is after alongside a way to return home.
