Mermaids: Difference between revisions

The relationship between the supple mermaids and the fish-faced [[Merman]] enemies has never been explicitly addressed in any game, but {{DQ11}} shows them living together in [[Nautica]], with the mermen employing rhyme in a somewhat different way from the mermaids, more akin to a beat poet. This heavily implies that mermen are the highly sexually dimorphic male counterpart of mermaids. Still, some mermen who attack [[Kai]] are referred to by [[Michelle]] as "monsters." Their hostility may explain why mermaids are prone to falling in love with the fairer, milder humans.
