Dragon Quest VIII
Jessica learns this spell at level 35. Kafrizzle is a fire spell targeting single monster, dealing 145-160 base damage.
Dragon Quest IX
Available only to Mages at level 64, Kafrizzle deals severe fire damage to a single target, and costs 45 MP to use. In the Japanese version of Dragon Quest IX, the spell was called Meragaia, and was a new spell added to the Frizz family of spells.
Notes
When Dragon Quest IX was released in English, the spell Meragaia was localized as Kafrizzle, despite the fact that Merazoma had been localized as Kafrizzle in Dragon Quest VIII and Zenithian remakes. It should be noted though that Meragaiā's in-game animation looks similar to Kafrizzle's animation in Dragon Quest VIII, which is likely why it was given that name.
