Chilly Breath

Chilly Breath is frigid breath attack. When used, it typically hits all enemies for 50~60 ice-type damage.

Chilly Breath is used by Boreal serpent, Freezing fog, Skelegon, Dragon zombie, and Firn fiend.

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen

Chilly Breath is used by Chillanodon, Dragooner, Marquis de Leon, Estark, and (in the remakes) Seasaur, Testudogre, Croaked king

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride

Chilly Breath is used by Blizzybody, Dragon zombie, and Drakenstein.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation

Chilly Breath is learned by Shelley at Level 22. Other characters can obtain this technique by advancing to rank 4 of the Dragon Vocation.

It is also used by the enemies Freezing fog, Drastic drackal, Wraithwand, Murdaw (on his third fight), and Gracos.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past

Chilly Breath can be learned by advancing to rank 7 as a Drake slime, rank 5 as a Rashaverak, rank 2 as a Seasaur, or rank 7 as a Monster Masher in the Nintendo 3DS version.

It can be used by the enemies Metal dragon slime, Forky pig, Oinkubus, Skeleton squire, Bone baron, Claw breaker, Hexicon, Seasaur, Iron fryling, Small fry, Jade dragon, Rashaverak, Sulkk, Wingwyrm, Freezing wingwyrm, Mossferatu, Croaked king, Tetsudogre, Escudogre, Galumph, Gigalumph, and Grotwyrm.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King

Munchie will use this skill if he is given Chilly cheese. On the enemy side, it can be used by both Frogman and Killer croaker's backs, Demonriders, Frostburns, Shadows, and Seasaurs.

Dragon Quest Monsters

Called IceAir in this game, it is an upgraded form of FrigidAir. FrigidAir will grow into IceAir when the monster reaches Level 10 with 70 HP. IceAir grows into IceStorm when the monster reaches Level 20 with 140 HP.

Dragon Quest Tact

Chilly Breath is known naturally by Great dragon at Level 1 and can be learned by Freezing fog at Level 18, Minidemon at Level 20, Skelegon at Level 22, Silhouette at Level 32, and Wharfhorse at Level 36. It costs 27 MP to use and inflicts moderate Crack-type breath damage to all enemies in a range of three squares in front of the user. It can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll, which can be purchased from the Event Shop during the limited Summer Festival event.
