The Western Cave is a dungeon located southwest of Alltrades Abbey in Dragon Quest VII. It is surrounded by poisonous marsh to deter travelers.

StoryEdit
After losing their spells and abilities and being trapped in the town of Pilgrim's Perdition, Eustace and Fingers hatch a plan with the party in order to rescue High Priestess Jacqueline and take back Alltrades Abbey from the monsters. The cave is the only entry way to the Abbey, but it is blocked by the monsters, Rashers and Stripes. On the party's first trip to the cave, Fingers accompanies them, but he abandons the party to fight the duo as a distraction. The party ends up being defeated by the two monsters, and they wake up being taken care of by Nava.
The party heads there once again to rescue Zev after he was cut by the Soulsword. Eustace and Nava go on ahead this time and the party is able to proceed since neither Rashers and Stripes are there at the moment. They make a detour and meet up again with Flowers in the mountain village of Precipice Pass, where the surviving priests and priestesses of Alltrades Abbey are being held prisoner.
