Chiaroscuro Shield is a talent in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince which boosts a monster's HP and MP, and raises its resistance against MP absorption, instant death, and light and dark-elemental attacks.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark PrinceEdit
In order to unlock this talent, players must combine monsters who have mastered the Sizz Ward and Zam Ward talents. Alternatively, a scroll teaching the talent is one of the three item dropped by the giant scissor beatle found in the Elven Utopia.

EtymologyEdit
- Chiaroscuro is a type of shading method first invented during the Renaissance. It focuses on creating powerfully strong contrasts between light and shadow, hence it's use in the game as a counter to Sizz and Zam.
