Avabranche

Avabranche is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. It is an ice-cold branch from a tree that is used as a crafting material. Its name is a combination of the words "branch" and "avalanche".

Avabranche is used as a material for crafting weapons and furniture or in Alchemy to increase resistance against Drain Magic to weapons. It can be picked up from sparkly spots, purchased from a material shop for 340 gold, or dropped by various monsters, including Shivery shrubberies, Frostburns, Dead man's souls, and Snowbirds.

Avabranche can be picked up from sparkly spots in the Sniflheim Region, the Snærfelt, the Hekswood, and the Path to Trial Isle, or can be dropped by Bongo fandangos and their vicious counterparts. It can be sold for 85 gold.
