Curse Attack is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series.

It launches a strike that deals the amount of damage as a normal attack and has a chance to place a curse on a target.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed KingEdit
Curse Attack can be used exclusively by Dark ministers. After attacking a character, it has a chance to curse them, stunning them for a single turn. The Hero is immune to this effect, like all other curses.
- In the Nintendo 3DS version, the recruitable monster Priestley is also able to use the ability.
Dragon Quest XEdit
Curse Attack can be used by several monsters, including Beleths, Dead residents, Demons-at-arms, Ghouls, Grim keepers, Grim riders, Haardvarks, Hyperanemons, Mummy boys, Night riders, Princes of darkness, Skeleton soldiers, Viking souls, and Walking corpses.
Dragon Quest WalkEdit
Curse Attack inflicts 130% potency physical damage and can occasionally places a curse on a single enemy, costing 20 MP to use. It is a monster companion skill that can be learned by Demons-at-arms at level 10, Grim riders at level 20, and Mummy boys at level 30.
