AppearancesEdit
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the ChosenEdit
Flame Ball is an enemy-only skill that can be used by Thorny devils, Flying doctors, Fire beatles, Salamander fries, Flamethrowers, Humbabas, Hellspawns, Woolungasauruses, Psaro's Pawn, Abominable Showman, Balzack, and Tricksy. It deals 6-10 fire breath damage to the entire party.
Dragon Quest XEdit
Flame Ball is an enemy-only skill that can be used by Damselflies. It still deals around 6 damage, but now only targets a single character from this game onwards.
Dragon Quest TactEdit
Flame Ball is known naturally by Damselfly at Level 1 and can be learned by Sham hatwitch at Level 16 and costs 9 MP to use. It has a range of up to three squares away from the user and inflicts minor Frizz-type breath damage to a single enemy. Firebird can also learn the perk Flame Ball Follow-Up through talent blossoming, which allows it to occasionally follow up with Flame Ball when any other ally attacks within a 1 to 3-space range.
