Golden gar
The Golden gar is a spear that appears exclusively in the Nintendo 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII. It is a gold-plated version of the Bamboo lance.

Dragon Quest VIII remake onlyEdit
The golden gar has an attack bonus of +21 and can only be equipped by the Hero, and can be sold for 5,000 gold. The spear was available to any Japanese player who preordered the game from any stores affiliated with the retailer TSUTAYA through a distribution code, eventually becoming available as a special delivery item from January 6th, 2016 to January 19th, 2016.
It also became available to international players for a short time in 2017, but after 2018, all DLC items for the 3DS version became unavailable.
