AppearancesEdit
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the ChosenEdit
Game | Description |
This sneaky sphere can seal an enemy's spells during battle.[1] |
Maya and Meena Mahabala first discover it in Gupta Gupha during Chapter 4 , where it proves necessary to defeat Balzack. However, they lose possession of it sometime between Chapters 4 and 5.
In Chapter 5, after confronting and defeating the green knight Sir Roseguardin, the party gains a new sphere.
WarningEdit
There are several ways to miss getting the item in Chapter 5 completely:
- Defeating Estark before encountering Sir Roseguardin will result in him not appearing in the Rosehill Tower where he would have been earlier.
- During the battle, Sir Roseguardin will summon a Chillanodon. If he is defeated before Chillanodon, then The Hero will not obtain the Ball.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten PastEdit
The Sphere of Silence is only available in the Nintendo 3DS remake and is given as a reward for the completion of the DLC Tablet Palace of the Perished upon defeating Skeleton swordsman.
TriviaEdit
- If Meena and Maya do not obtain the Sphere of Silence in Chapter 4, it will still be in Gupta Gupha in Chapter 5. Thus, it is possible to have two Spheres of Silence at once.
- A common theory is that Meena and Maya lost the Sphere of Silence after their defeat by Marquis de Léon and that the Sphere was later given to Sir Roseguardin. Neither of these are true. The duo will still have the Sphere of Silence after their defeat, up until they reach Endor at the end of Chapter 4. Sir Roseguardin having the Sphere of Silence even if the duo did not obtain the item in Chapter 4 shows that he has a duplicate copy, rather than having stolen the original.
- Torneko can actually end up stealing multiple copies of the Sphere of Silence when fighting against Sir Roseguardin, thus enabling you to have a collection of them if you so wish.
