Withering Look
Withering Look is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series. It is one of Dora-in-Grey's signature abilities, firing off destructive beams from her eyes to devastate her enemies. It is similar in name and theme to Withering Glint, but the two are separate skills in English and Japanese.

AppearancesEdit
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive AgeEdit
Withering Look is an enemy-only skill that can be used by Dora-in-Grey. It inflicts around 60~70 damage to the entire party. When used, the in-game text states that Dora-in-Grey "fires lava-hot lasers from her eyes!" Despite its appearance, it deals non-elemental damage rather than fire.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland 3DEdit
In the SP version of the game, Withering Look can be learned from the Iron maiden's Dark Beauty skill set for 200 skill points. It costs 48 MP to use and inflicts non-elemental physical damage to all enemies.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark PrinceEdit
Withering Look costs 32 MP and deals non-elemental damage to all enemies, calculated as the user's level + 120. It is learned through the Cool Customer, Destroyer, Devil's Advocate, Murdaw, and Wrecker talents.
Dragon Quest TactEdit
Withering Look can be learned by Dora-in-Grey at level 48 and costs 78 MP to use. It has a range of three squares in front of her and inflicts major Bang-type martial damage to all enemies in a range of three squares horizontally. Upgrading the skill increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to use.
