Angel's robe
The Angel's robe or angel robe is a recurring robe in the Dragon Quest franchise. It is a high-level robe said to have been worn by an angel and it protects the wearer against instant death spells in all appearances and occasionally reduces magical damage.

Dragon Quest III
The angel's robe has a defence bonus of +35. It can be equipped by Mages, Priests, and Sages. It can be purchased from the Super Secret Faerie Village, the last final stage of the Immigrant Town, and Tantegel for 3,000 gold.
Dragon Quest VII
The angel's robe has a defence and style bonus of +55. It can be equipped by Maribel, Sir Mervyn, and Aishe. Angel's robes can be purchased in Aeolus Vale for 11,000 gold and sold for 5,500 gold.
Dragon Quest VIII
The angel's robe has a defence bonus of +73. Only Jessica and Angelo can wear it, and may be created by combining a Flowing dress and a Magical skirt in the Alchemy Pot.

The Angel's Robe can be obtained by fighting Tyrannosaurus Wrecks, who drops the Angel's Robe 2% of the time. The fully upgraded version of the Angel's Robe, the Seraph's Robe, can be considered the best robe for Mages, Priests, and Sages, all of whom will greatly benefit from the boosts to Magical Might and Magical Mending (Sages doubly so because they utilize both offensive and healing spells).
