The canny cap, also known as the lore hat, is a recurring hat in the Dragon Quest series. It typically boosts the wearer's wisdom or magical powers in some way.

The canny cap has no defence bonus, but boosts the wearer's Wisdom by 30. It can be equipped by all characters.
